Default ECU Reflash

Yes I did a search and i know this is a highly debated topic as to whether it is worth it, but I need a 996 flash for my 986's ecu(performing a 3.4L swap). I figured while I'm at it there's no reason to pay extra and get some more power. My engine is a 99 3.4L non e-gas unit. Doesn't look like revo or softronic have flash's. Any opinions on Giac or APR? Or any other ideas where to find a 996 flash for my boxster?

Down by the Honolulu airport. The porsche mechanic there can do it?
You might have a mechanic in your area that works on cars too.

Did a porsche dealer mention any prices. I guess they aren't located on all 7000 islands
Anything porsche would do I'm sure they won't promise it would work if it wasn't their company changing the engine.

I bought the boxster with a blown engine for dirt cheap and figured dropping a 3.4L in would be a lot more fun than another 2.5L. Especially since they run about the same amount of money. Closest EVOMS dealer to me is down in Austin, 250 miles away. Are they that much better than giac or apr?

same engine as u.... I have GIAC and am very happy with it.... the GIAC program is designed to run with the stock filter or a BMC/K&N... you don't have to get EVOMS air intake once you go the GIAC route... you'll like it... more zip above 4000 rpm...

I was planning on cold air intake, headers, high flow cats and muffler, since all of the stock boxster parts are insufficient for 996 duties.
