Uhhh Wowser!! I found a thread that deserves a second and third look. But it doesn't lower the temp the fans come on though. But it's a must see!!

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=79510

How can you get the fans to turn on at a lower temp? That's the key.

Keep paying attention and yopu'll continue to see the benefits.
My 911 doesn't even have fans, they were completely removed.

Do those fans in that thread blow or suck?

Turn on the air conditioning, the fans go high. The first long trip we took was in 95 deg heat and we hit stop & go traffic on the interstate. I had the air on and expected to see the car get hot. It went about one needle thickness past the "0" and never got hotter. I was impressed. Any of my previous aircooled 911s would have been running very hot by the time we got free of the traffic.

Interesting, I have seen some pretty hot temps here in Ok. I do run redline waterwetter and have a tip (3 radiators). During the summer I try to keep a fan in the garage to keep air moving through the radiators and under the car after a drive.

Is the Tip trans water cooled? The one in my Mercedes ML is. That's could be one reason for the 3rd radiator - more heat for the cooling sys to shed.

Just an FYI that not all Tips have the 3rd radiator - mine doesn't.

It runs cooler with coolant vs straight water. FYI
