Uhhh Wowser!! I found a thread that deserves a second and third look. But it doesn't lower the temp the fans come on though. But it's a must see!!

How can you get the fans to turn on at a lower temp? That's the key.

Turn on the air conditioning, the fans go high. The first long trip we took was in 95 deg heat and we hit stop & go traffic on the interstate. I had the air on and expected to see the car get hot. It went about one needle thickness past the "0" and never got hotter. I was impressed. Any of my previous aircooled 911s would have been running very hot by the time we got free of the traffic.

Interesting, I have seen some pretty hot temps here in Ok. I do run redline waterwetter and have a tip (3 radiators). During the summer I try to keep a fan in the garage to keep air moving through the radiators and under the car after a drive.
