Its hard to really say.... its gonna be louder, my gut sez 20% louder (if that makes any sense)..... But I dont think its an issue. Your foot controls how loud it is and at 3K rpm.... its not bad at all (with my windows down). As for performance.... it did make a diff on highway speeds (especially passing), but I have really no proof but my butt dyno.....

Thank you for posting this detailed DIY description! I will be embarking on the same project this weekend only with the Fabspeed x-pipe. One question...did you need a special wrench/socket for the O2 sensors? I understand they make special slotted sockets that fit over the wire.
