Based on their website, these do not fit a 996 (fit 911, 964 and 993, but not 996). Can someone indicate if this is correct or if there are adapters that would allow fitment in a 996?
Many thanks.

That's a very nice looking seat, do the power functions plug into the factory ports, or did you have to get or make adaptors? Also, is there a sub belt pass through at the bottom? How did they bolt to the chassis, do they bolt to the factory rails?

Recaro sells rails that bolt to the floor. The seat electrical connector plugs right into the electrical seat connector that came on my car. However, the standard seat heater buttons in the car don't run the seat heater. See below for switchgear explanation.
The front-back motion is manual (although see comment below about vertical motion).
Switches and other stuff on the side of the seat are:
- Front-most switches on top (two rocker switches) are ventilation and heat (yes, the seat is ventilated).
- Long bar switch under the rocker switches is the vertical motion. When it raises, it also moves forward a bit, so there is some forward motion when raising the seat and some backward motion when lowering it. A very tall person can move it back really far by lowering it.
- Tilt is the vertical bar switch just aft of the rockers.
- Adjustable lumbar inflation is next, then a small button after that is the lumbar deflation.
Adjustable thigh cushion is manual as well. There is not a sub-belt hole. I was disappointed when I installed the seats and then within a year the PCA banned 4-point belts.
On the other hand, they are the most comfortable seats I've had in any car. No regrets after 4 years.

Did some research this morning... I am concerned that the all manual seats I am looking at won't fit my car.
I have comfort seats (all electric) and Recaro's fitment guide indicates that only seats with electric backrest adjustment will fit. Will be making a call to a Recaro dealer tomorrow to find out why.
