Is there an opinion about Bosch pads? I mean, everything else they make is terrific (IMO) so why not brake pads? Reference P/N: 0 986 494 281

LOL, yes I was also surprised that this was resurrected from 2010.

Or I should buy hawks? (Accourding to this thread few people answer.) If so then why?
For street driving, IMO nothing beats the OEM pads. Now, here's the kicker. As I understand it, Textar makes the OEM pads for Porsche, so Textar branded pads should be equivalent but les expensive. I've used both Porsche branded and Textar branded pads, even used them on the track. Did not notice any difference. Now, if you want to talk about track pads, ask the question and get ready for war, LOL

Default new 996 owner needs brakes

ok guys and gals i read through these posts and i am confused.
my 911 will be used on the street and not the track. Money is always a concern. Some of the brands are terrifically expensive and some are not. I was thinking Bosche Rotors and Pads but I have a kit waiting at Pelican Parts that i am pretty sure he put Zimmerman rotors on the order.
In the forums opinion, what should I use? and where is the best company to buy from.
Any opinion on Ebay New Parts I believe Sebro Pads but it only says Manufacturer Aftermarket?? They are really cheap but I don't want to eat a telephone pole braking around a curve!!
Help me people ? there are so many options I am spinning.
About two years ago I did a back right and left rotors and pads on my 2004 955TT they are just fine but I can't remember where I bought these and what brand they are
