Default Porsche Umbrellas

As I fought my way through the monsoon striking the NE area I started wondering if I should pick up the umbrella that fits in the passenger-side compartment. For those of you that actually have this umbrella, is the quality worth the price? I like the idea of the OEM part, but if its just going to turn inside out in the first gust of wind I'll find an aftermarket umbrella that fits.

Thanks,

Shawn

I bought a three pack of unbrellas at Sam's Club a few months ago. As I was unpacking them, I looked at the smallest one and realized that it would fit perfectly in the slot. Pretty good quality, and I think I paid about $30 for the whole thing.

Worth the price?

For keeping your head dry? No.

For keeping your head dry, and always knowing where your umbrella is, and having the cool, Euro-style Porsche solution to the problem? Yeah, probably.

For $90? Maybe if it were titanium instead of aluminum. Now that would be cool.

going by this reasoning, you might use gold. But gold would be a decidedly bad choice for this application.

Well, duh.

Anyway, I have to save up for the intermediate umbrella shaft bearing upgrade. Those suckers are expensive. But worth it for the peace of mind.

You miserable streks. I just bought the Porsche tire pressure gauge that I didn't really need. Now I have to think about the umbrella.

I am slowly turning into Sid.
