the Fab's drone?

this "stock muffler add a pipe adjuster weld to resemble PSE" aka Hack has no drone at all. In fact at freeway cruising it sounds bone stock inside the car....

I totally agree. My FisterD mod has virtually changed my 911's attitude(and mine), the sound is right. Very similar to a 79' 911 SC with Borla exhaust that I drove in the mid 90s.

I think I realized what my drone was.......my rears are down to the wear bars. Yikes! Good thing I have 2 new shoes waiting to go this weekend. Still am really thinking about mod though.

I cut the holes with a plasma cutter and didn't have any slag rattling around after. I followed the link I posted in the original post to the letter. Even bought the tubing from the vendor listed. Welded with a TIG I have in my shop. No biggie. Total time two hours. Some of which was spent drinking beer and trying to explain to my partner what I was doing. He thought I was nuts to cut holes in the mufflers until he heard the results. My wife is pushing hard to get her own cab in tip. I will definately do this mod to her car when we find the right one.

Had to start the car just to hear what bypass pipes would be like. I live in a gated community with mostly older folks around who are good neighbors. I loved the sound but couldn't do it to them as I leave for the shop each day at 5am. I'd be blackballed in no time as I have to climb an incline to get out through the gate. That and I think it would be a bit much for a daily driver.

As far as sound clips go.... The link on the original post has a before and after. Mine sounds identical.

The term hack is a bit off-puting, but it really is nothing more than making four holes and fabbing up the pipes to mate with the contours and some simple welding. WAY worth it.
