Default Measuring Ride Height

Hi. I have a 99 Carrera Cab and the car has a definite nose high attitude. The suspension is stock. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be like this or if the rear springs are starting to sag. Is there an officail methiod for measuring ride height and a set of specs to compare with? Any help would be appreciated.

The nose on these cars does look high. Measure from wheel center to fender lip. This will take out the difference in tire size. I have a 4s so my measurements won't help.

ride height depends on what suspension your car is equiped with. A good alignment shop that knows Porsche can check for you.

specs are below.

the first is a GT3 manual pic that shows the basic points of measurement. The second gives the values based on your car...

Just checked the car and ended up with LF=143, RF=145, LR=131 and RR=130.
So the front is just a bit lower than spec and the rear is off by a lot. At least this gives me a benchmark. I'm OK with the rear where it sits as it looks OK. What I may do is try and lower the front a bit. Thanks very much for the info, it was very helpful.

The second no longer seems to be there. Would be great if you (or anyone else) could (re)post it!

Never mind, found it here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...de-height.html

(Though it's not clear whether this is for a 996.1 or 996.2 or both. The fact that the rear height increase more than the front when you go from 17s to 18s strongly suggests 996.1. It would be great to find this for both 996.1 and 996.2.)
