my 2001 carrera's hvac display is malfunctioning. I have a sun, glowing orange taking up the whole right side, the recirculate icon and ac "snowflake" does not appear either. anyone had this happen before? i may take the unit out and check connector conditions if all else fails. i wonder if the unit is crapped out?

 

My display is corrupted also, I can't see the temp display. They wanted to sell me a new one during my last dealer visit, it still works so I declined the offer.

All pixels are good, it's in great shape. I removed the entire interior as the car is now a 996 spec race car. The heat a/c have been removed so no need for the controller.

 

it does look like new!
