Default Noise Level When Rear Spoiler Deploys?

In motion I do not hear it because of the the wonderful vroooooooooms.
But when I use the switch to deploy it it is not exactly quiet.

Maybe it sounds like a whine? Is there a fluid level to check?

What do you suggest? WD 40? Something else? Leave it alone?

Hey what are you doing surpassing the speed limit?!? Sounds like unsafe driving to me!

I'm actually curious too as to if there is any regular maintenance we should be performing on the wing to make sure it stays in working order?

If the engine is off you will hear the tail come up which is good because you'll know when to let off the switch. Then just walk around and clean. If you hear it with the engine running then your ears are better than mine

Mine is noisy too in the same situation. The dealer said they could clean the channels for .5 hr labor. I'll do it myself.

Mine is also making that whining noise even when the engine is at idle speed so I am also interrested in a working solution to quiet down this mechanism...

"Manually" lift it and then clean and grease the two actuators with silicon or something like that.
I did that 4 years ago and it's been silent ever since.
