The vendor is "sixity" on Ebay or you can also find them at www.sixity.com

So far all their LEDs have been good.
There are no 9 LED towers available at sixity.com... :-(
What about this one?

Any other vendor you'd recommend?

Do any of you guys know where one could get 996 C4S, LED rear taillight assemblies?
There are tons out there for 996's but none for the C4S (they have a horizontal "hump/ridge" right at the line between the red and clear lenses).

Cheers!!

Sid.
Sid,

To be honest, I have not done much research on that, and there are a few reasons. As far as whole assemblies are concerned, fitment and quality are a concern, as well as throwing warning lights due to the low draw of the LEDs. Therefore you also have to get some type of extra impedence/adapter to hook into the light, or use a mix of regular and LED bulbs.

As far as replacing individual bulbs in critical areas I feel that the LED brightness just isn't quite there yet (but will be soon). I wouldn't want to replace a brake light w/ something that isn't at least as bright as OEM. To me that would take a minimum of a 3 watt LED small enough to fit the application. (This also becomes a problem because LEDs don't like heat and a constant on LED needs a heatsink, which makes it larger).

Currently I am using LEDs only for interior lighting, license plate, and parking lights (side and front). You can also put one in the trunk like Whitey did, but because of the heat I don't think it would do well in the engine compartment.

+1 - autolumination.com Bought two sets just in case, but they work perfectly.

Hey guys,

I went to a few local shops to get led turn signal towers (front) and found out that all the led's available had the bayonet pins located at 12 and 6 O'clock (when viewing bulb stem upside down) where as the stock P bulb has the pins at 12 and 5 O'clock...

One shop suggested to cut new grooves in the bulb stem housing to make them fit but I'm not willing to do that.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Obviously some of you have blinker led light that fit, where did you guys get them?

Thanks!

Sid.

FYI if you wreck that little turn signal socket you can un-plug it from the headlight assy, then for $900 Porsche will sell you an entire new headlight assy.

The socket is not offered for sale by itself. Not sure if there is a cross reference # or not, but after 3 months I felt happy to find a used one in New York.

I hear ya, that's why I'm not willing to go that route.
Do you have led turn signal bulbs in your headlight housing?
