Anyway, IMO leave the turn signals alone.
The easy bulbs to go LED with are the parking lights. That would be the pumpkins, and the ones in the headlight assembly. Both are flat 194 push in connectors. Keep in mind that most LEDs today are polarized, so if it doesn't work, just rotate it 180 and reinstall.

Last Sunday I noticed while looking through the view finder of my SLR camera that a fellow porsche club cruise members 997 LED lights were flashing. Lower camera lights aren't flashing. Look through view finder again and lights apear to be flashing. Real strange. I have to include this picture too.
