I don't want to be like an airline mechanic and figure seepage or seepage with class 1 or 2 visible drips forming isn't bad and wipe it off for an FAA inspection to pass. But seepage is common considering the heats and fluids.

Any pictures?

how they perform a PPI? did they remove the tranny? otherwise, how do they know is moist?
From moist to seep is just one step. I would replace it if moist...

Wait till it's really leaking or you need a clutch.

Is the seal wet or just the bell housing? Is it oil or brake fluid? If it is the bell housing and oil, it could be RMS or IMS. If it is IMS and the shaft bearing failed, it could be very expensive to wait...and engine worth. If it is RMS, watch your oil pressure carefully. You see a drop in oil pressure, get it replaced. If it is brake fluid, your clutch slave cylinder is leaking. In this case, you get it replaced ASAP before it takes out the brake master cylinder and the fluid destoys the pressure plate and disc. I personally would not buy a car that I know has a wet seal. Sooner or later it is going to need to get fixed. The real questions are when and how much?

Asked the dealer about a PPI stating a moist RMS and he said, "they will always say that". He had no interest in bad-mouthing his service dept. so take that for what it's worth.

No as far as I am concerned. It's a wondering number as far as I have read.

How would that be awesome? That would suck! I had to have my RMS changed right after buying my car & really don't want to do it ever again (actually my wallet doesn't want it)...

I think you're either just crazy or are anxious to try retrofitting that GT2 RMS you bought... Or both.

I was figuring the guards red sleigh Santa drives is actually a Porsche now of days at least in the off season. Probably a C4 type. Santa might frown on us making fun.

Would be nice if Porsche would offer free replacement parts that don't go bad so often. I guess maybe Santa and Porsche don't know each other after all. Never mind
