Does anyone hear know of this car? I also would like a recommended place for PPI for this car. It is near Greensboro, NC. The owners said they would have no problems taking it for an inspection.

Wow, can't believe how little it costs to own a Porsche 911. C'mon...pull the trigger!

My brother has an indy shop in Thomasville (20 or so mins from Greensboro) called Speed Werks - 336 475 6570. I'm sure they could do it. They deal primarily with Porsches.

Speed werks is great they did my 944 head! I like the color, the wheels, and the tri-spoke wheel.

Don't know the car but can rec'd a great PPI place for you. My race shop is in Greensboro. It's called 3G Motorsports. LINK Give Greg (owner) a call and tell him Dell sent you......he'll take good care of you. Greg is the ONLY person I trust to work on my P-cars for both the street and track.

Good looking car, I like the color combo a lot. It also has litronics, which is a very nice option to have, as is the full leather dash, but the latter seems like not such a great thing in this case, as it's pulling apart in the center...

Also, it appears that the center of the front bumper was touched up with black paint around the center radiator opening (though the panel alignment/color match looks fine from the pictures, so they probably just touched the center part ). Overall I'd say it looks like a good deal pending a decent PPI.

Does anyone know if the shrinking leather dash is common and is there a fix?

My full leather dash still looks great...I've never heard of it before. It's usually vinyl that shrinks (like in 944s)

Nice color

Sounds like you have lots of good suggestions for a PPI. I will just add that the Porsche dealer in Greensboro, Foreign Cars Italia (Europa) is a very well regarded operation.

Well I had Speed Werks do the PPI and it turned out pretty well. I sent a deposit and will be making the trip to pick it up on Jan 22nd. I can't wait. I just hope there isn't a major snowstorm on the east coast on the 22nd.

Congrats and I hope the purchase goes well.

That looks like a nice car. From the pics I see that it has upgraded 3 spoke wheel (4 spoke was standard in 01), trip computer (control stalk on the lower left), hifi sound system (rip out the cassette storage unit and put in a cubby - $20 or so from the dealer), and no seat heaters.

Enjoy,
Barry
