Hmm. Good luck with the sale.
996 GT3 is my next replacement as well. It has to be guards red for me.
HOWEVER, at a POC event, there was a guy (Porsche Service Advisor) with a 996 C4S and PCCBs that was keeping up with a GT3. It all boils down to the driver.
Nevertheless, the GT3 has a N/A GT1 motor, which is very appealing.

Check the PCNA Search - there is a red one there.

Since you probably already researched this, how much is a GT3 engine installed? I.e. - since you already have the suspension mods and most likely have your car handing "the way you want it", why not just put a bigger motor in it?

1) it would devaluate the c4s even more
2) it would NOT appreciate in [general public] market value
3) it is still heavier than a gt3
4) it is still AWD (if that matters)

Because not everyone has the same requirements as you and that the items you mentioned may not be important to him.
