BTW i didn't realize it had 950 rpm higher redline, in fact that's probably not right, i think the boxster S (09+ DI 3.4 motor) has a factory redline at 7500, but hey whatever
Edit: 7500 according to r&t http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/co...ster_s_page_11
Assuming you can get a cage or a hardtop in/on this thing, I'd like to see some lap times
Something tells me it's pretty quick, and after 10 years of chassis development, we need to see how it stacks with the heavier old mk2 996
I love the silhouette , but I don't like the graphics, wouldn't buy in white for the street personally, and would prefer it were just badged spyder. Of course it would be unworkable in the Northeast, but a total SoCal home run, I've seen far less practical cars on the road as DDs in LA

Of course it's a brand new car with a ton of design improvements, structural and safety, since the original.
I need the jump seats for the kids sometimes.
But it has the kind of stance and look that gives a Boxster a really purposeful look.

I like it. In moderate climates it would be ok to drive to work a few times a week. It would really make a fun track toy. Light, good power and mid engine balance would be really enjoyable especially at an autocross or track event.
