My last clutch lasted 150K miles, and the current clutch has 65K miles on it with 60% of the lining left.

My recommendation to those that get lesser use from their clutch is to review their clutch engagement/disengagement practices.

I could not disagree more. I helped a good friend buy a new base 997 a while back. I drove it a fair amount. The difference was not noticeable at all. Meanwhile, he sold the 997 because he couldn't deal with it depreciating while I still have my 996.

Flush the clutch at the same time as the brake; yes, it's the same reservoir for both. Loren has an excellent DIY for all of it on RennTech.

i don't know for sure, but suspect they are. when i flushed my brake fluid, i had burped the clutch. i don't know if burping helped, but my clutch creak went away as well.

Everyone's different in clutch usage. I would wait to do a clutch job personally until it fails the 6th gear roll on test for you. Mileage doesn't mean much if you are all highway. A 99% driven city car will need a clutch way sooner than a 99% highway driven car all things being equal. That being said, some people are harder on clutches than others. My car needed a clutch when I bought it and I drove it over 900 miles home. Main risk is with gnarly slipping you can cook the flywheel surface. If it slips, back off until it hooks up and prepare for a clutch job. By the way, these cars are among the easiest cars on the planet to change a clutch on. If you even have a slight inclination to turn your own wrenches give it a whack. You'll be glad you did.
