Default Check engine Code 456

Just got a code 456 (read on an autozone scanner)
it said "code 0456 Very small evaporative systems leak"
I assume that is a loose gas cap or faulty gas cap?

Cleared the code - hope it stays that way ....:-|

Did you tighten the cap? It should click about 5 times. check it for damage to threads or gasket.

And be sure you have the new cap that comes with the recall.

If it is a recall, can I just bring to the dealer to get it replaced? (BTW checked underside of the cap. That rubber seal is all cracked. )

I am reactivating this thread. I had some time ago a CEL and it showed P0456 very small evap leak. My indy cleared the CEL and I bought a new gas cap and I drove the car now for 250 miles, everything so far ok. Today I hooked up my icarsoft and in the obd section it showed again the code p0456 but there was no CEL. I turned off the car and turned it on again, ran the scan and the code was gone???? Any idea what it could be? My car is out of warranty but I still have the emission warranty in california, was wondering if it would make sense to have it checked at the dealership. Any advise would be appreciated.
