My mods in order
- Painted mirrors red
- Painted door entry guards red
- Removed back seat
- New Floor Mats (black with red pipings / red Turbo lettering from Suncoast Porsche
- Orange box mod above the clutch pedal
- Aluminum gauge rings

Repairs in order
- New Fuel Pump
- New Venturi Tube
- New Alarm Module
- New Key
What is 'Orange box mod above the clutch pedal' ? I am going to have a look at my clutch pedal for an annoying click it makes sometime when depressed. So, if this is a mod I would want to do, I may well while in there.

If I remember correctly . . .
First addition was winter wheels and tires.
Clear side markers (RL approved!)
Hardwired V1
Rennline black aluminum pedals.
PSS10s
Summer wheels and tires.
Fabspeed mufflers.

On a related note, fixed up the garage to make it Porsche-worthy!

One of the bigger changes along the way was just getting a random orbital polisher, good polish and some good wax.

Photos if interested . . . LINK

Current mods:

Clear side markers.
Hardwired radar detector.
New winter wheels and winter tires.
Bumper Plugs.

Next mods:

Exhaust. Probably Fabspeed mufflers to start, possibly cats. Haven't decided yet.
Clear bra (after I have the bumper resprayed)
Sound system. Leaning towards the Pioneer Avic.

Timely topic for me, as the obsession is just beginning....

1. Clear side markers
2. "almost" hardwired v1... in progress
3. iPod adapter from CDR220 aux out
4. Bumper plugs
5. To be determined....

I made a little diagram for you. This improves shifting characteristics in the car. It removes that pesky feature where it drops the revs when you push in the clutch.

Well when I get it...(hopefully in November)

New mats

And then I will prioritize based on what I see. Mostly cosmetic stuff to start I think.

Maybe something for my wheel fetish

Waxed it, put it in the garage, and covered it.

i recall when i took delivery of the 996 back in 4/2000 i drove across the street to the gas station next to the dealer and had them put on my 19" speedline rg5 3 pieces. This was right after the salesman gave me the keys, and he was shocked to see it already in the shop. I then went to the muffler shop and had the fabspeed headers and mufflers installed. The next weekend the H&R coilovers and sway bars. following month the TRG piggyback, and i stopped keeping track of the changes since then

Clear side markers, Fisker type exhaust, stereo/speakers/amp, 3M clear bra (etc), hard wired V-1 and self dimming mirror (inside).

on the 4S I fixed the clutch pedal and replaced the exhaust headers for a pair of fabspeeds.
Next: cats then mufflers maybe...
