That was my thought, I figured if I'm at the limit of hp/weight then I should have a competitive car weight/power-wise -- isn't that the whole idea of GTS?

I am trying to make it there as well but not competing. I'll stop over and say hello.

Paul,

With your car 1:21/1:22s around Summit in race trim should definitely be doable. I think I ran some high 22s and definitely low 23s in my 996 at last year's club race. But I have a tired 3.4 in my car that dynos around 258 rwhp. Without me in it, the car weighs 3118.

Do you have a LSD in your car? Are you coming out to the PCA race next weekend?

Hey KJ,

Long time!! Hope all is well. I was running pretty consistent 1:22s but recently dropped to 1:21.4ish.

My car is down for the moment getting the trans rebuilt (you know all about that!). I do have an LSD but it wasn't doing much the last 3 months. Will all be fixed when I am all done

I may try and visit the club race Will stop over if I do.

hey paul,

who do you go to for the tranny rebuild. 3rd gear is going out on me and was going PowerHaus2. looks like they've gone out of business. too bad...they had short ratio gears too.

Darren,

Do you plan on attending the NASA race at NJMP end of October?
I've seen you run. I think if you can lose a little more weight your car should be competitive in GTS4. You can borrow my carbon fiber hood for the weekend if it will help.

Yes I'm planning on going to that race! I don't know if there will be any cars in my class...but I'll be there, close to home. Are you racing that event?

You should have at least 4 in GTS. Look out for the guy in the video below. He's been setting lap records. As for me, I will not be ready for racing this season. Are you going to the Glen race next week?

Yes I'm headed up to the Glen -- I'm planning to shake the 996 down on Friday and then probably race the Integra Sat/Sun. If the 996 feels good though...who knows
