lol yeah the dealer plate frame is just to keep the temp plate from blowing off until the real plate comes in.

Well the house isn't mine per se but thanks!

That sleeper you see in the garage there is my sister's old 1994 318i convertible. One of the easiest-shifting cars ever and I learned to drive manual on it. The car is a blast to drive as long as you are not in a hurry to exceed 45 mph.

Ivangene I kept the stock swaybars on my 325Ci but you would have to threaten my life for me to put them back on...I will probably get gt3 sways and maybe ROW m030 springs for my 40th after a few thousand miles of driving. I really like the stock suspension for street driving but I can tell that it is going to have a bit too much body roll for any track / autocross. The LSD is amazing though! The throttle will really whip the car through a turn and straighten the car out.

hehehehe
I knew you wanted better suspension - you track junkie!!

I almost went with ROW M030 - but after reading alot about it, descided against it. There was something a couple people said that changed my mind.... cant remember who or what, but do the reading.... I ended up with Eibach springs and the differance is unreal - I cant even imagine driving a stock US spec set up now...

Find a GT3 set up and dont look back (others may say something else - doubt it though)

GL - its a beauty!

The engineer in me says that if I'm going to change stuff on the car, I'll stick with Porsche parts that were all engineered to work together. It will be more pricey but I'll be more confident in the parts.

I've got all the time in the world though...don't plan on getting rid of this car for a long, long time. I want to get all of the running out of the suspension I've got first.

Keep us updated on how that goes. I've done 1 DE day and 1 autocross in mine and I loved it!

Yeah the 944 is still mid clutch job. I had planned on selling it first but when a deal comes along a deal comes along you know? So I still have the '44 right now but I will sadly have to sell it because it just isn't worth paying insurance on 3 coupes haha.

oh boy here goes...I'm not changing my profile pic yet though...not at least until I can get a picture with the 944 and the 911 all cleaned up.

So for those who have autocrossed the 40th / turbo/ c4s how does the front bumper with the flimsy cooling vents stand up to being smacked into cones at high rates of speeds? I know at some PCA autocrosses everyone just goes 15mph to get around this problem but I expect an occasional center punch at 70mph.

Enjoy the car - the rush from 5,000 RPM to redline is addictive!

.

The ROW m030 is too soft and the GT3 springs/shocks are alright but you'd be buying used which introduces a big X-factor (unknown). I'd get a good adjustable setup or whatever the spec 996s are running.

But congrats! Is jackie(sp?) allowed to drive it?

Yeah I'll let Jackie drive it when she finally gets to see it (which might be this weekend). I'm hoping it will get us out to some autocrossing again. And I will laugh hysterically when I finally am able to pass her on the track. It sucked having 60 less hp than your girlfriend at a DE.
