Default Would pinstripes look good on a 996?

I'd like to do something to my car, '02 C4S, seal grey, to make it look a bit more distinctive and was thinking about subtle pinstripes. Not sure if that would look good, downright butt-ugly or somewhere in between.

Traditionally pinstripes follow the creases in the body, but the 996 is so smooth I'm not sure it would work. If I did it, it would have to be a subtle color or two, possibly darker grey with black. Maybe a hint of red as I have red Schroth harnesses on black GT3 seats.

Comments and especially pictures are welcome.

Did you see Rides last night (I think it was a rerun) where they were painting the cars? The pinstrip dude said no car wouldn't benefit from pin stripes. When he sees a car without pinstripes he sees a pair of shoes with no laces or a suit without (something). When he was saying that I was also wondering "what the heck would a 996 look like with pinstripes?" I can't imagine it looking better. To your point about no lines to follow. I too would love to see pics but I don't think I would ever go with pinstripes.

Everybody has their own opinion, but personally, I'd never put pinstripes on a 996. I see it doing more harm than good to the wonderful curves of the body. That being said, it's your car, and if you like it, then go for it!

Yes I did see that show last night, that's what got me thinking about this.

So far the opinions are similar to mine, I just can't see a 996 looking good in pinstripes.

Someone has got to have some pics!

Instead of paint, how about graphics with vinyl decals? That way if you don't like it after a few years, rip it off.

I'd have to go with NO! I really cant think of any modern car that a pinstripe looks good on.

And Seal grey is an awesome color! Wish my 996 was SG, my Boxster S was.
