Default Scammed? PLEASE READ

Hello all,

my first post here and not at all car related.

What prompted me to sign up, was a post from a fellow member on another forum about being scammed on ebay. A search for the alleged scammers name brought this site up. Maybe some members here had possibly been victims or at the very least his name had been mentioned?

Please see the following links, and if any of you who believe you were scammed by the same person are still around or have any information - please feel free to tell your story (with any evidence you may have to back it up) to the OP. The web site concerned is also being threatened with legal action, but the owner refuses to bow to demands as yet. Lawyers letters have been posted for all to see.

Thank you.

To the OP, there was a long thread (or 2) here about Sean some time ago. Same basic premise as on your noted threads. That thread was shut down and I think it's deleted.

Others will chime in, but seriously, it's pretty humorous that he's back in full effect! (But not funny about what's going on).

Someone point this guy to the Jamboree, er Banerjee stuff. Wasn't there a whole website setup at one time?

big deal, scams happen everyday - file a claim thru ebay/paypal and your bank / credit card company and get over it - I lost $400 about 2 months ago buying a 996 turbo 3 spoke wheel - got my money back after a few weeks and moved on - didnt think the whole world of ebay was bad just cuz one jacka$$ scammed me...........

nickel and dime stuff is tough for them to catch, thats why it happens.....

he is from Seattle - want me to "take care of him" LOL

I have to admit, it was almost as good as the Disregard Thread. I can't seem to recall who messed that thread up for us... But man, I'm still mad about that, lol.

Short version of the story (from what I can remember)

- Sean B, allegedly tried to scam someone on Rennlist
- A thread was started to "document" the problem
- The thread got kinda crazy
- Sean B, allegedly paid the scammed Rennlister back
- John D closed and removed the thread

Hahahahaha.... That was the best thread in history!!!!

It was so good, somehow it got so many hits it reached biblical proportions far outside the rennlist community. Just thinking about it has me laughing.

A far far second was the venerable "joey Carrera" thread. (MAKING POUT LIPS)
