That really sucks. I'd buy it in a heartbeat with know worries. Only problem is I have 5 cars, 1 wife, 1 kid, and one on the way in 2 months. Something has to give
Hey Andy, I just decided to check in on Rennlist and wish your wife a speedy recovery! This is a stunning example of a MK1 Aero and to those that are interested the minor valve cover leak is nothing to worry about at all - I had that same issue but the car passed the PPI with flying colors and the new owner is still extremely happy!
Best of luck with the sale, I'm surprised at that price it hasn't already gone!

Mick,
Thanks for the kind words. The real burn of this deal was I had an offer of $1K more than my asking price last week when I thought it was spoken for and that buyer made a move on another car in the couple days it took me to figure out the origional buyer was backing out. None the less his offer was flattering and I feel a compliment to the car.
I had the used car manager at the local Porsche dealer offer me a suprisingly attractive price on the car this past weekend too. Not enough to buy it but I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly suprised with what he offered me to buy it outright.
Andy - My thoughts/prayers are with you for your wife's speedy recovery. Re the car, a guy offered me about the same that you're asking for my '99 aero. I'll send him your info and let you know if he's interested asap.
