Quick Bit of Help - OEM Cat Removal Maneuver?
I've got everything unbolted and the slip joint clamps loosened almost all the way off, but I cannot get the cat-to-header ends to unmate from one another; I've got about a 1" gap between teh cat flange and teh header flange, but that last 1/4" is standing in my way - not enough slack for the bolts to get out of the flange.
Any tips? Thanks

First get the cat to muffler ends completely free... then yank.
Watch your O2 sensor cables... the cats drop free and can damage the O2 cables.

That was the ticket Paul. Thanks very much.
I had the slide the slip joints to each side to make it happen. PB Baster is my friend.
I am cat-free - at least for the moment.
Those ***** are heavy

Do we need to do another "sans exhaust system" video?

Ha. I just transferred the 02 sensors over, so no video from me.

Whitey, what have you put in place of the stock cats?

Decided to hold off the X51s for now. Can add them later if after I am done with this phase I feel like I want more.

Scott,
Now you need a paint job like this to match your rear center console!
