Default manual hood release

well we got to the beach and my electronic hood release "buzzed" but didnt "pop".
I talked to friends and family AND the dealer and all i got was "it should be in the fender well by the headlight" i looked on BOTH sides and found no release.
any suggestions from someone who KNOWS where it is?
thanks!

case solved!

It is behind the wheel well passenger side...you will have to remove the wheel well cover to get easy access to it....you see it has to placed so it is not too easy (to keep thieves out) yet allow access eventually.

is the trunk full of stuff??

Maybe try pushing down on the trunk while "popping" the hood... see if it releases?

After pulling up on the release handle next to the drivers seat, I then have to slide my finger tips under the hood edge and gently/firmly pull up to get the hood to pop up, then I use the little lever to fully open it. For some reason it sticks ever since someone sat on my hood for a quick photo-op in the mall parking gargage. I ordered a new latching mecahnism from Sunset already...

So do you understand the dilemma? If it is too easy to find, anyone can find it...it has to be a little difficult as I already stated....if you have one it is there. It is quite possible you need the latch adjusted hood latch renntech

We are discussing the emergency entrance cable - not the one you use M-F getting groceries
