Sorry, no before pulls. I need to get this dyno'd:

So perhaps I will arrange for a time to get both of them done.

Last Saturday after optimizing the flash, modifying the EVO intake and adding a new under drive pulley I put down 282 RWHP from an otherwise bone stock 3.4 engine... If I have time tomorrow I'll dig up a series of plots depicting the evolution of the engine's performance over a two week period of development.
Those are bigger than some chipped 3.6 numbers, very interested to see the evolution!

Anthony, thanks for sharing. You have dicovered the same thing that I did. The addition of the EVO CAI and a sport exhaust transforms the character of our cars. I have done every N/A mod possible on my 996 (except for some of Jake's newest additions) and I am very pleased with the results. This is my second 996 that I have had these mods installed on. I bought most of my mods used, for about 50% of their new price. I have always thought that the performance gains were significant, but I was unwilling to pay for before and after dyno runs to prove the gains...they made me happy.

Jake thanks for sharing your dyno results. It is nice to see someone that is applying traditional hot rodding techniques to our engines, to improve on what Porsche made. I never bought the common belief that the same N/A performance modifications that work on everything from Mustangs to Ferraris, won't produce significant results on our cars. Please keep up the good work. I plan on keeping mine for a long time.

Additional note... I would be very careful running your motor up to it's new limit of 7600 with stock internals especially in 4th or 5th gear. Your torque curve drops off around 7,000 anyway, so why stress out the internals....

If I'm hitting the rev limiter (which may be 7,400 RPM actually) in 4th or 5th gear, I'll be losing my license, so it won't matter if my engine is in pieces.

I had all of your mods but it was the headers that was the bottle neck. After the headers went it, the car came alive and I would do that all over again without hesitation.

I made my power with a bone stock 3.4 exhaust system. Time and time again the stock system proves to be exceptionally effective at making power.

I have your mods on my 3.4 2000 996 plus the RSS Plenum and it makes a difference...The sound of the Evo intake and PSE excites the senses and greatly increases the driving experience....Next I want to add a supercharger but am waiting to see what happens with the economy.....

Modifying the Evo intake? What did you do to it?

Also, when you guys post your dyno numbers are they SAE or raw numbers?

i have looked under my trunk lid to see where the opening to draw air in is for this system. (above the air filter) i see there is a seal around the top of the filter box to seal aginst the trunk lid? but why does it do this?
