Default Subwoofer wiring

I am looking to add a subwoofer/amp to the rear. What is the easiest way to:

1. run power to the amp

2. run the stereo output to the amp.

I have a 2001 C2. I am not real gifted with creative wiring. I have the CDR 220 Becker stereo and have added the Becker Aux. Any specifics on the way to plug into the back of the CDR220 would be appreciated. I have done the center console delete and have noted an unused 4 wire plug. Can I run power off this?

Thanks in advance.

Okay, please do not think I am being snarky: I have done this to my 993, and I know it works for a fact:

Ever thought of deleting your mufflers? That gives you no need for a subwoofer (because your ears will be filled with 30-60 Hz sounds from the engine while driving), AND when you press on the real "play" button (your gas pedal) the 996 goes to 11. You also save @ 60 pounds of weight.

To have a subwoofer would make your classy Porsche just a bit closer to the Nissan Z/ Toyota Supra category, in my opinion.

The unused plug is for mobile phone kit, there is power but I'm unsure the amperage is high enough for an amplifier.

The front bulkhead makes wiring in these cars a nightmare!

yea, but the mufflers come off easy !!

I have to agree with Jim, I waited 28 years for this car and I would rather hear its exhaust note than ANY song, ANY day....

You may need to remember it for a long time someday (Tippy and Tim both have been without their's for many months, get your fill while you can !)

I had an Infinity Basslink II wedged between the back seat uprights and the rear deck. No modifying necessary.

Plus, it will fill in the sound, not "bump" ghetto style.

Which wires would you choose from this plug?

Thanks
