Default Missing part on Rear Deck Lid?

HI,

Everytime after a car wash or heavy downpour, my engine gets soaked and my Polyrib belt slips. I have brought it into a mechanic and he says the belt is fine and does not know why its slipping. I am wondering if I am missing something on my rear deck lid that allows water to get in. Here is a picture of my spolier and what it looks like from the inside. I can see right through, is there suppose to be something there? what does everyone elses look like?

Thanks for the help!

your carrera wing replaced the stock spoiler that channels all the water to the gutter... water will get in the intake, but there is a drain for that as well.

From what I remember that is what mine looks like. My belt will only squeal for a few seconds after I was my car. I have not notice any problems when it rains.

do you think if I add something like a heat resistent screen around the intake would help? I live in FL and it pours everyday. When i get in my car, it squeals and cause everyone to look.....

Are you sure it's the belt noise and not the screaming yellow paint that's causing them to look?

How long is it squealing? After I wash my car or it has been in very heavy rain it squeals too but only for about a second and a half, and it's kind of a SQUEEeeeaaall......

I think i am missing the part below (red arrow) (took the pic of another forum)... anyone know the part number to this?

If i have this, will it deter some of the rain/water into the engine area?

that is the bottom of the bellows plate - if you have bellows, they attach to it

Spoiler lower part 996 512 205
buffer 996 703 488
support 996 512 255
