Seafoam seems to have tremendous benefits for direct injected cars. with all the fuel being delivered directly to the cylinder, the top end tends to get gunked up.
The Mazda/VW/GM DI motors have all seen some issues with heavy buildup in the top end.

I heard this is true for DI Cayennes and it may ring true for ournew Cayman S & 997.2 friends

i have heard of this a few years ago, except it seemed like i read only horror stories. Mostly from someone who didn't know how to use it. I do see it in the parts stores now, so it seems to be pretty popular.

I am scared to use it b/c of all the horror stories, but i am sure i will try it on one of the older cars we have.

Yepper, no fuel to keep clean the backsides of the intake valves.

Seafoam does work as advertised...Look down your cylinder with a borescope...Then look again after you've run some Seafoam through the intake...amazing.

Even more so, run it thru your intake system for a burst of flavor...the stuff is amazing... Like I said it woke up a couple of my 993's like night AND day...and the black 993 became down right scary. The tack would go from 0 to 7.5K in a heart beat - I think it was possessed. Luckily it went bye-bye or might have I...
