Thanks Bro. I sent a PM to you. Let me know if you don't get it (sent to mfletch - never PM'd before though).

This forum is great. Can't believe somebody had two of what I needed.

Ivangene hooked me up with some pumpkins too, and he deserves credit too! A good week so far!!

Thanks you are a lifesaver, Sam
Sam,

Sounds like you have the same issue that my previous owner had (before he crazy glued the whole thing into a frozen rock, haha).

Let the sun shine in!

Todd, thank you. PM received and respoded to. This is a great place to meet fellow Porsche enthusiasts.

Is there a better fix to the switch being loose to begin with? Mine is just starting to do this now. Anyone have instructions on how to get the assembly off (that Mark showed in the pics)? Once it's off, how do you fix other than getting the replacement part?

Was that a diplomatic way of saying you don't like the look of the cab?

Nope, I just love the look of the Coupe!

Aint nothing wrong with a Cab. I am very fond of Turbo cabs!

Sam, thank you. I will also include the light assembly (with 1 broken switch) in case you need parts off it.
S-spiff, I can't imagine that there is another fix, other than to replace the switch assembly (not the whole panel). The plastic tabs are pretty delicate.

Removing switch panel cover assembly and switch for 2003 996 sunroof:
1. Using your finger nail or a screwdriver, carefully
unclip the two covers A of the infrared
passenger compartment monitoring system.
2. Unscrew the two screws B.
3. Fold down the cover of the lifting/sliding roof
drive.
4. Unplug the sunroof power connector from the switch.
5. Carefully unclip the rear portion of the switch and slide the switch out.

Mine has started to do this - and I've taken it apart to take a look inside - there is a little plastic "foot" that has broken off on the other side.

Anyone have any good ideas to share on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!
