and the fact the the inner lens burn if you buy brighter bulbs, the outer lens cannot be bought as a replacement part when they become weathered, and even the stupid blinker sockets that are turned in a manner to "catch water" cannot be bought as a spare replacement part when they rust out (though if you are really lucky and a junk yard is willing, you are in business)

I have owned 3 sets of headlights now and I am very happy with the ones I have now......

unless I find a deal on some lits

Whew, and I thought I was the only one that was fine with the headlights. Funny, if you are a non-Porsche person, chances are about 90% you would think the 996 is a newer style based on the headlights.

Yes Ted, that round headlight on the yellow GT1 you posted looks sweet. I have a black car so thinking about buying the headlight cover with two ports--one for the headlight and one for the blinker and fog. Then maybe dropping some dark tint behind the headlight cover over the secondary port for the blinker and fog lamp to give the apprearance of a single headlight port. Still thinking about it. Will likely buy the covers and then place some film under it temporarily to make sure the blinker is still visible when on--could care less about the fog.

why not use something like PIAA H7 bulbs that operate at a 55W stock rating but have mega light output?
