So it's a 4" component set for the fronts?
Also, where did you mount the crossover for the components? Or do we have two different sets of speaker wires for the driver and the tweeter?

Yes, 4" component w/ tweeter for the fronts and 5" for the doors and rear. Two crossover networks were installed in the location of the factory amp (which was removed) and everything routed to a new amp mounted on the floor of the trunk.

No, only one. The factory speakers have a tweeter wired in, so there's only a single pair of wires running to each factory speaker. Only the dash speakers required the extra tweeter and extra pair of speaker wires run. Are you designing your own system? CAI has developed a complete solution for the 996 that is very impressive - the kit includes all wires, connectors, instructions, etc. for a complete installation. I had a very positive experience.
