Oh I'm well aware of the potential bashing I could take for not posting pics. Thanks for your patience so far. Pics later today!

Congratulations....but no pics is a serious offense here! #151 huh? It's only appropriate that you celebrate in kind with none other than the Demon Rum Bacardi - 151. Now those are some pics that'll be worth posting

Jeff, I was just getting ready to crank up the "Newbie Initiation" but then I saw the pics in the above post! Sweet looking car!

Congrats and Welcome to Rennlist.

Tim, trust me I tried to get pictures up before I got your lashing. I've been lurking on & off since 2002. Never had a decent enough Pcar or knowledge to chime in much. My others were earlier 911's, 914 & 951. They were fun, but this one beats them hands down!

X51 engine package, lowered suspension, LSD, the fancy badges, turbo front bumper, different rocker panels, GT silver paint. Only 1963 made.

Nice looking special addition, good pics and no doubt a great ride home. Now ask Mr. Bicardi to come over to celebrate with you. Nice to hear that an 'evolved' 996 is more fun than your older Porsches.

Interesting - the previous owner apparently removed the L&R front grilles in the front bumper and replaced them with black plastic ones (or just painted 'em black) - the 40th cars come with GT Silver grilles on the sides, with just the central one being black.

Enjoy the car, I have loved mine (it's going away in 3 months when new GT3 arrives)...

Hmmm... I'll have to take a look. I don't they're painted, but I just looked them over quickly when I was looking at the scuffs on the bottom black lip. No damage reports from the initial inspection or carfax.
