Default SRP Pedals - Updated Product Options 996

Hello,
I have added some options to the product line and felt it warranted a new thread. If you haven’t seen our other threads, my company is SRP Racing. We are an official Rennlist sponsor. We have been making racing pedals since 1995. This is what we specialize in. www.srpracing.com

As a reminder, I am going to keep running the Rennlist discount coupon code for Rennlist members. Just enter: rennlist while checking out for 20% off.
------------------------------------
I get this question all the time, “How come, on the Grid sets, the gas pedal and footrest don’t have the Grid machining on it?” Ideally you want your foot to slide across the gas pedal smoothly while applying the throttle. This is the reason the factory gas pedal is smooth, hard plastic. And this is the reason we make our gas pedal smooth. With the gas pedal smooth we decided to make the footrest and gas pedal match as it just seemed to look better that way.

With all of that being said, I have updated the website to allow ordering the Grid pedals with the Grid machining on the gas and footrest. This adds a considerable amount of time to the machining process, but I have decided to offer it as a NO-CHARGE option (this may change in the future).

------------------------------------
I have updated our Grid pedals with a trim ring around the edge of the pedals. This gives the pedals a more refined look. The pictures below should make it clear what this option looks like. This is a NO-CHARGE option.
------------------------------------

This picture shows the standard Grid pedal and the Grid Trim Ring pedal.

Here are some pictures of a Rennlister's 996 pedals (shipping tomorrow) with the Grid machining on all pedals, the trim ring, the double heel toe extension, and the flanged footrest - pretty much "the works".

That is some really pretty machining work and design. Congrats on that!
When I am ready to do this mod I am definetly looking no further than your company!

What is the thinking behind the double heel and toe extensions? Any suggestions on picking between the two styles?

I've had customers request it, that's why I make it. Our standard gas pedal is rougnly 1/2" to 3/4" wider than stock. The double extension pedal offers a little more at the top and bottom.

If you (or anyone) is curious as to how they work and fit, email me and I will send you a PDF file of the pedals. You can then print them (to scale), cut them out, and try them on your car and see which you like better.

Could someone offer me some help here please? I am finding it difficult to confidently heel and toe. I really don't care about appearance -and in fact I dislike the appearance. But I would get them if they are functional. Will they materially improve heel and toeing, or are they mostly bling?

The number one reason I make these is for performance. Heel toe and grip are the top priorities. Our standard gas pedal has around 3/4" of extra material on the left side to close the gap. Once installed you can fine tune the height relationship between the gas and brake pedal to make heel toe even more comfortable.

Hopefully someone who has them will chime in too.

Marc, just DO IT!

Hell, if you can velcro your EZ Pass unit to your forehead, you can install these pedals!

I installed a set last night in my 996. Took a little over a 1/2 hour. Mostly because it's a tight squeeze. Had to use a right angle drill for some of screw/bolts. But a very easy install. Looks great. Pedals are very secure. I'll post some pictures soon.
