I like these,

What are the feelings of the group on racing pedals? Sure look cool, but is there a real benefit?
Not super expensive either.

We make them for performance first, aesthetics second. Our Grid pedals have the highest grip of any out there. Even if your feet are soaked, your foot is not going to slide around. The second benefit is improved heel toe. We offer two options for the gas pedal to help heel toe. Our standard gas pedal is roughly 1/2 to 3/4 inch wider than factory. We also have a "double heel toe extension" gas pedal for those that like their gas pedal even wider. There are pictures in this thread and on our website. Also, once installed, you can then shim the gas or brake pedal to adjust the height easily to improve the height relationship between the gas and brake for much easier heel toe.

If you would like to try the gas pedal before buying, I have a file I can send you that you can print, cut out, and try on your car. It gives you a real good idea of the benefits of our gas pedals.

Oh yeah, and they look great too

996 is one of the easiest cars to heel toe IMHO. The dual mass flywheel keeps the RPM "hanging" and the position of the pedals are very accomodating. You should start with downshifting in high gears until you are comfortable.

There are two different schools of thought in heel toe. You can roll your right foot or stab the go pedal with you heel while the ball of your foot is on the brake pedal. Rolling is easier to learn I think.

This mod should help also. Its all practice.

I ahve driven these pedals in the rain when my foot was wet and I can confirm that the grip is outstanding. No slip at all. Not compensated just a very happy customer!
