It wasn't really 'performance', per se. It just seemed to run more efficiently. Everything felt smoother. But yeah, likely in my head. It's why I posted...just to see if anyone else had experienced this. I can already envision half of rennlist replacing their batteries this weekend. LOL.

once you run a Walmart battery in a GT3 is is ruined for life. You will have to trade it for my C4S.

or if you prefer,
no and yes.

Ivangene, don't you have some pictures of either a female Santa Clause or a female Easter Bunny - to prove Tim wrong?

i am sure the wal-mart and oem battery roll off the same line. It does look odd to have a wal-mart battery in the cubby hole, but it should do the same thing

Can't you get a carbon fiber PORSCHE battery cover to dress it up?

Default So heres my experience ..

Anyway, my old battery was getting up there in years and I thought it wise to proactively replace it...you know, instead of getting stranded on the road somewhere without being able to start the car. I took the car for a drive last night after letting it sit on the trickle charger to top it off and I was amazed. The car just 'seemed' to accelerate more crisply. I'm sure it's all in my mind, but does anyone know if putting a fresh battery in the car can have a positive feedback on driveability? I always thought the batteries were predominantly for starting since the alternator kicks in once the engine is running.

yes yes yes . So much so that I turned to the internet to research this. My batter registered at 39 out of the 760 that is recommended for my KIA Optima. The car accelerates so much faster and smoother noticeable difference.

Last I looked, Walmart Batteries are Exide.. (WHo pretty much makes the biggest share of US batteries.. )
