It has 35,400 miles.

OK I promise to look into the amber issue AFTER I address the rattle in the muffler which was NOT mentioned in the PPI and did NOT begin rattling until I drove it home across the state.

Thanks again for all of your compliments. The damn thing REALLY is beautiful and I can't believe its in my garage.

+1... Start making up excuses to visit the garage... my advice: put a refridgerator out there... gives you a reason to go out there anytime day or night, and it's a short walk to refreshment while you're rubbing her with a microfiber cloth...

rattle might be Catalytic converter... if so it might be covered by Porsche... there has been some talk about these going out and causing rattle, plus depending on your year and mileage / purchase place they (it bad) could be replaced by Porsche -

Purdy car! Welcome. It will be good in the snow!
Don't wait too long to order your snow tires they run out about Sept.
Porsche will replace a bad Cat if it throws a CEL.

Thanks ivangene and C4CRNA, I took it in for a quick go-over the other day, and then to a local muffler shop and we think the baffler popped a weld in the left muffler. We are not thinking cats, fortunately. I'm outside the cat warranty. I have located a left muffler from a 99 (description says 3.6 which is incorrect, I think).

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/left-...Q5fAccessories

Also found matching mufflers from a c2 3.6 litre.

Would you happen to know if the 3.6 mufflers would fit a 3.4? Might sound different I'd imagine. And I wonder if c2 mufflers can go on a c4.

ewe... both of those look a bit tired!!

I have 3.4 motor and swapped for 3.6 cans, but then I modified the cans

LINK see post #520

This is a long thread, but there good stuff there

I paid $125 for my new cans and have seen the 3.4's go for less... in better shape than those.
IMO get the 3.6's but find some newer looking ones...

Welcome aboard. Although the color leaves something to be desired!!! Just kidding, I love SY, and like you, it was more of a suggestion of the wife.

I must admit, yellow and orange are two of the last colors I would pick; however, they do look good and they also grow on you very quickly. Welcome.

Ah - I'll add my welcome to the list, and I gotta say my wife would not tolerate a yellow car, but I like them. Orange markers are fine on that car, but for $30 I guess clears would look better.

cheers - you've inspired me to post some pics of my new car which I got very recently but only posted cheesy dealer pics of. Stay tuned.
