I thought this was an interesting choice, so I wanted to get the experts' opinions. Two cars, both in great condition, with identical mileage and priced within a few hundred dollars of each other:
2002 C4 Cab, Certified Pre-Owned from dealer, with hard top, extra set of wheels and snow tires, six speed, upgraded stereo
That's a tough question to answer - they are totally different cars. Do you really want a cab, or are you just attracted because of the extras? I prefer the C4S look, but I wouldn't want a tip, personally. If I had to choose between the two, I would probably buy the cab, but I would most likely look for another car.
Tough choice... nothing wrong with a tip if you live near daily gridlock... but I'm a cab guy... and believe, as all cab guys do, that everyone has a repressed inner cab guy lurking inside...
I have no problems with a tip - i just prefer a manual tranny. For some people, the tip is the way to go. I agree with Ed though - the coupe vs. cab is a big issue here too.
If those were my only 2 options, then I'd get the C4 Cab because of the CPO warranty (assuming that it's a new 2yr/50k and not one already on the clock).
However, if there was an option 3 -- NEITHER -- then I would opt for that. I'm weary about the C4 Cab because of the aftermarket stereo. There's an old thread about a user that bought a C4 Cab w/ CPO and aftermarket stereo what went through alot of grief is getting his AC electrical gremlin resolved under CPO warranty because of the aftermarket stereo.

Yes, the '04 is MOST bus which is fiber optic. An aftermarket stereo probably has new wires run, and there aren't many installers qualified to pull a car apart as much as would be required to re-wire.
