I believe that xenons w/washers were standard on all 2002 996s. Became optional again in 2003, I think.

And welcome, beautiful car!

Yes... I meant the stereo can be upgraded, but the exhaust note sounds so nice, many people don't bother.

I have the OEM Bose system in mine, and it is not especially good. I would also like to plug in my iPhone.

I like the factory look, so I am leaving the OEM stereo in place. I have an aftermarket bluetooth kit installed, and it seems to be working fine.

I have seen several aftermarket head units installed that look very good. The Pioneer AVIC system seems to be a nice potential option.

Damn, we've got Newbies coming out of the woodwork lately! Fortunately for them, and unfortunately for me, they are intro ducting themselves and posting pics right away!

Where's the fun in that????

I think that's way beyond stereo, more like SurroundSound... My kinda sound system... don't know if my neighbor's would appreciate it at 4:30 in the morning though...

I noticed that too. WTF, is going on?! "Kids" these days! Not like us when we got our 996's and were all f@cking clueless and got flamed for not posting pictures, then got flamed again for posting sh!tty pictures, then got flamed for asking stupid questions, and then got flamed just because their Porsche spontaneously caught fire and everybody laughed because they bought it from a Ford dealership . . .

. . . ah, Tim, those were the days. It brings a tear to my eyes Where are all the wackos now?

When newbies show up in the Cayenne forum, it is customary to tee them up for the regulars with a loud

FORE!

It might work over here too...

Welcome to the looney bin. Targas are great looking and fairly rare, too. I love the car in GR. Enjoy - it's beautiful.
