Jeez Phil, you are not telling these guys the "whole" story. You and I both know that your wife will not let you use the skateboard with out the training wheels attached.

Especially since it's in the garage with the Porsche anyway. Why do you think it looks so good. You'll notice, it's a Ferrari skateboard. Only the best will do.
It looks like a skidplate on the bumper too. Is that aftermarket, Edgy?
The minispoiler is stock on the 997s; the skidplate I got from Performance Products in order to try to save the bottom front. I think it's helped me to keep from losing that little flap spoiler up front (commonly loosened up and lost by my 997 drivers). That skidplate is mounted with more hardware than PP sent along. I made a few more holes and I picked up some more matching hardware to install it better.
The off-color part in the front area is the bottom of the fuel tank.
He was talking about the wide, curved shaped plateat the front of the car. Yes, that is an aftermarket skid plate to protect the nose. I don't recall where Dan got it.
Hey there! Man, I'd KILL for one of those skid plates! I have the driveway from hell and it is impossible to leave without hitting my front on the ground... drives me insane! Then, I saw your skid plate!
Can you ask dan where he got it? I'd be much obliged!

Whats the best way to remove the cosmoline from the engine and trans? I like to see raw aluminum and magnesium instead of the burnt toast looking coating all over the underside.
sjfehr is right about the cost to replace the plastics, all told over $500,
that's a mere pittance when you consider the the car was $85-100k when new...😉
