Don't bother, the engines are so robust they don't even need oil.

I was wondering what hapened to you Bob. Yes, Mobil EXTENDED 15W50 is what I use. The extended oil has the zinc levels that do a better job keeping things clean. Synthetic. I will add a quart of regular oil in late summer to better protect the seals during the winter when the car is driven less. You can also keep a quart of regular oil in the engine all year. 30 weight. And as you know, Mobil Water has never been ingested by my engine and I still have the orginal rear main seal and never burn any oil.

Getting the car ready for the track, I take it?

I do a 50/50 mix canola to peanut oil. Smells delicious on the highway.

Not for gas...for OIL...these cars don't burn oil!

The only 5W-40 Mobil 1 I can find says its for turbo diesel engines. What makes an oil different that it is specifically for a turbo diesel and not a gas engine? It is still SL & SM rated but not CF, when comparing to other types.

That's true ever since I used Slick 50, it permanenly coats all the moving parts with teflon, so you NEVER need oil!!!!

I would just do a 50/50 mix of 0W-40 and 15W-50 and give this thread a happy ending.

Hopefully we will not have a thread like this again after the search engine update taking place tonight.

Can we post pics of good looking women if OP does not post pics of his car? I need some eye candy.

You could try Motul 5w-40. It's pretty good and on the list too.

If you live in a cold climate and DD your P-car through the winter I would be hesitant to use a 15w year round. In fact, wasn't there a recent article about thicker oils and their negative effect on the Variocam plus system?
