Default 200 cell Sport cats

Has anyone tried sport cats with their PSE. Im looking to buy a set of Fabspeed 200 cell cats to go with my PSE.

I would appreciate some feedback on the sound.
Is there any resonance? How much louder is it?
big question, Is it worth it??

I have 200cell cargraphic sport cats with PSE-hack. No resonance/droning. It's slightly louder than with stock cats + PSE. No CEL. It sounds more raw with the sport cats but nothing too raw. It sounds LOUD under heavy acceleration and sounds awesome. Still maintains the boxer-6 sound.

Im also close to buying a set of 200 cel cats... Ive heard them under hard accel, sounds sweet! No prob using it as a daily (for me anyway) and its not that loud (inside the cabin). Thinking of going with Fabspeed or FVD as they are in the same price range...

considering the fabspeed x-pipe cat

and FVD

from what Ive read.... the true dual exhaust makes slightly more power. I know that the X pipes balances the load of the engine... but dont really understan the true benefit of it besides the cool factor...

any insite of the x configuration?

the guy at my indy shop and I have talked about this, his take is the X pipe is the way to go also. Like you said, is it just "cool factor" or is there real data supporting a reason for the cross, we can't agree. The info is generated but the manufacture's in most cases who tent to lean the results in their favor.

BUT
For cool factor, there sound amazing! Plus I dont think there are any negatives. A real exhaust gas flow analasis is tough to do, but there is software out there. My friend makes headers for old flathead fords and there is a lot of data required to get it all right. RPM is one of the biggest factors in figuring out the flow... and oddly that is the one thing that changes every second. Free'er flowing is not always a plus, but like I said I have not found much data on the X pipes vs traditional. (then again, I didnt really search too hard, it is just "shop talk" for me)

(ps that is the long way of saying I am an idiot on the subject)

I know that Porsche had a shared exhaust.... IIRC, the 964, when they went with the 993 they went with dual exh with practically the same engine but made 25-30 more hp.... so, it should be a no brainer... but those who put the x on are so happy with theirs...

To the OP.... sorry for the hi-jack...

The obvious negative to me of the X-cat is if one side goes bad.........unless they are repairable per side.
