If you want the button on left side, you need to drill a hole in your dash, and I don't thinks you wanna do this!

Clutch switch is also bypassed!

Good ole' Charles Shackleford made the "amphibious" phrase famous. Unfortunately that's one of the more memorable moments from our local NC State graduate.

Nice mod by the way, tastefully done.

Loved that line back in the day. I use amphibious as often as possible. That and bulimia, to reference someone who can read minds.

+1

He turned a 2 step process into a 3 step process. I don't really see the improvement.

1) Insert Key
2) Turn key
3) Push button ????

Why?

And his other endeavours made him ambitious and avaricious. I'm still ambivalent about the start button.

Actually It was 3 steps...
1) insert key
2) press clutch
3) turn key

and It is 2-3 steps now!!
1) Insert key
2) turn key to start or press button!

If you look at my post on 6speed, you'll see that I did this mod the cover the wiper switch hole after I installed the rain sensor. I think its better to put a start button, than another power outlet (useless since I don't smoke or plug anything there) or just a ugly cap.

Personally, I would never start a manual car without pushing in the clutch. Sorry, this mod seems pointless to me but what matters is that you like it.

Alot of European car don't have clutch switch. Why would you want to start the car with clutch, unless its on a gear, its an extra step!

I think it looks pretty spiffy!! And a rain sensor sounds also pretty good...problem is when it rains where I live SOCAL I don't drive the P-car. love the push button idea... think that I am too lazy to install.
