The Sumitomo's are on
First initial impressions surely to change after break in, but anyway, they're a LOT quieter. I mean almost eerily quiet. I remember the Michelin PS2s and they weren't this quiet when I put them on. And this is with the coilovers. The Michelins, when new were still suspended with the stock suspension.
They have the same new rubbery feeling as the Michelins. I have no idea about the grip thus far because i'm not pushing it. Potholes are also easier on the backside due to the aforementioned rubbery feel. Steering feel seems to be the same.
I remember when I had the Bridgestone S02A summers and that tire had worn completely evenly, front and back. I found this to be unusual because usually, the rears would wear quicker. These Michelins did not continue that trend. The rears were showing initial signs of cord, while the fronts still had meat on.
I took the front Michelins home with me for that emergency tire role. I wish the rears had no cord showing because this would fulfill that role just in case. No such luck.
Also, the coilovers have only been on for a couple of thousand miles, so the camber has only been "aggressive" for that duration, yet the michelins showed wear greater on the inside edge, also a first for me. The previous tires (Contis, Bridgestones (2sets)) all had perfectly even wear, all the way across. Although, I will say that I've been running pressures of 38/42 instead of the Manuf suggestion of 36/44 the entire duration of the Michelin's life on the car.

I think I'll get a set of the Sumis on the C4S when I get it. They sound like a good way to go.
One more week and I'll have it! The rear main seal and the intermediate shaft seal are being finished up today or tomorrow.

had the threes on the car for 2-3k miles.
they are ok.
flat spots when they are cold are a pita.
track grip is just so-so.
life is full of comprimises.
pays your money and makes your choice.
