OK - so PPI is done and these were the issues (in no particular order):
- Wipers
- Battery is weak (8.9v)
- Coolant expansion cap is leaking
- Small amount of oil in intake system
- Air intake snorkel clip broken
- Coolant weak (-22)
- Rear main seal leak
- Left front differential seal leak
- Front bumper and hood has been repainted (repainted really well though)
All in all the above items would total approximately $3500 to repair. Riegel told me to offer the seller 42k so I did and the guy won't budge claiming he can get 44.5k at the local MB dealer as a trade-in for the new car he wants to buy.
So the search continues... sigh.

As Phil said, make sure you get a PPI before proceeding. One good thing is that this dealer appears NOT to be associated in any way with Luxury Motors, LLC out of Chicago, which has a dubious reputation.
Make sure the Turbo wing is operable. Some guys fitted the Turbo wing but didn't complete the job and the wing is always in the UP position. If you are really interested in the car, maybe a Florida Rennlister in the Miami/FT. Lauderdale area would be willing to check it out for you. You could start another thread asking for help to check out the car.

Turbo wing on a C4S will HAVE to be in the always up position because the hydraulic posts will NOT fit the C4S in the down position.

Exchange rate: Price * 1.3
Taxes: 6% import, 5% GST
RIV fees: 230
AC fees: 100
Transport: 1000-2000
Modifications (DRL,etc): few hundreds
etc, etc, etc.
I've done it twice already, but the exchange rate was very interesting at the time.
Cheers,

For reference, I sold my 02 C4S, 23k mi, 8 mos left on CPO warranty, Lapis Blue/Beige, with very few options but in fantastic shape, for $44k in October 08.
This red car is nice, with some great options including the wheels, sport seats, looks like sport exhaust button on dash(?), etc. Not crazy about the turbo tail - I prefer the clean look of the widebody with the standard rear tail on the C4S.
Definitely get PPI, but seriously nice example from the info provided on the site.

One thing I noticed in the engine bay photos: low coolant? The tank appears to be empty & should be at least partially filled with either pink or (older type) green fluid. Not necessarily a show-stopper but definitely worth questioning in a PPI.

I know of an 03 C4S about to come up for sale in Edmonton. Seal Gray, sport seats, 6 spd, 19" wheels plus stock wheels. Mileage around 50k kilometers or less I think. PM me for contact info....
