Almost too good to be true, but I guess in the economic environment anything is possible.

I'm positive there's a story behind it. For example, this car was sold for $75K, but carefully read the description:

Besides the twin turbos, what does a TT have over the C4S that explains the huge difference in price? It just doesn't seem like it should be THAT much more expensive.

I feel like historically the turbo isn't priced to compete with other 911s, rather with "exotics" or "supercars", and is considered by many to be a bargain in that performance category. It has increased quite a bit in price if you don't adjust for inflation (the '97 993TT stickered for just about 100K base at the time, an '09 997TT is based at $130K), but not nearly as much as its competitors (a 2009 F430 is nearly double the price of a 97 F355, and until recently the idea of buying one anywhere near MSRP was ridiculous).

That having been said, a 2009 C4S with full leather, sport seats and metallic paint (no charge on turbo) stickers for almost exactly $100K before other options. While I personally never thought of the 997 C4S as a screaming bargain new, there's just no arguing that isn't a great combination if you don't want or like or find value in the added power, cachet, looks, whatever of the turbo. But depreciation wise, it's not like a C4S is THAT far ahead of the game, with 997 CPO cars in the 50s already. I like 997 C4S cars, I do, I might even buy one someday, but if you show me a turbo for not that much more, I don't think I can say no.

RE: this car in particular, I have to admit it is very tempting with the CPO if its not a wreck, anyway I may pop in and have a look see. Not a huge fan of manhattan motorcars in general, but who knows.

EDIT: I was looking at Manhattan Motorcars inventory and didn't see anything close to resembling the deal posted, so I took another look at your posting, says Manhattan Motorsports, which to my knowledge is not a dealer but a consignment shop. I'll call tomorrow and ask.

That's ridiculous. May I ask where you found that listing? The MMS website is pretty worthless.

UPDATE: This was listed at Manhattan Motorcars, which is a Porsche dealership. Someone on the 997 Turbo Forum called the dealer and the salesman almost fell out of his chair when the caller mentioned the price. Apparently, they entered the price incorrectly. The car is no longer listed, so it has either sold or removed from the used car listing.
