I finally got to listen to the iPod on the way to work this morning. What an improvement over the radio tuner! (I haven't tried the CD player). I have my entire CD collection ripped loss-less, and it sounds great. I did have to turn the volume down a bit because the doors were rattling from the all the bass. Seems like my existing system got a new lease on life.
