Scott, why do you want to swap? I had that same option in my 996 and liked the fact that the stitching was on each side and not down the middle like the non-embossed leather lid.

If yo are going to swap, you need to also include the part behind the lid so the stitching on each part will align properly. Here are some pics from Gert's Carnewal web site that show the non-embossed leather lid and extension piece.

Tim, great info; I appreciate it. You and Dell must be on the same wavelength.

Its getting recovered, so it doesn't matter

All of the other pieces on the console are getting recovered as well, so stitching alignment will be taken care of at the same time.

That's awesome... so if you rest your arm on there for a while with some moderate pressure does it leave a reverse imprint in your skin? ... GL with the change, I am sure someone will be happy to work something out with you

Thumbs up Prices

I've decided on $300 + core lid for lid only, or $375 + core lid and core rear piece for both pieces. This price is for the 1 or 2 pieces shipped to you in the CONUS. Your piece(s) need to be installation ready; no broken tabs, bent, etc.

Have you seen:

My leather was scratched up so I ordered from the link above, excellent quality, took about an hour to replace the leather, looks factory new.

I'm guessing Scott's going with the Zebra look!
