Did you check Oklahoma Foreign, they seem to have them for $700-$800. DC Automotive seem to be out of stock, but they are usually a couple of thousand. And of course how can you tell if the used head is cracked or not.

I don't know, all that work and put a welded head on. Boy tough call. Yea its less money, but what is the risk. At any rate you have a great attitude about it and have really posted some great info for the benefit of all of us.

GL finding the correct path for it and getting the car back on the road.
